PINAYUHAN ni Senador Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao si Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Nicanor Faeldon na mag-leave muna sa gitna ng panibagong kontrobersiya na kanyang kinasasangkutan, bilang pagrespeto kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
“The President is unnecessarily dragged into this whole mess being the appointing authority. If Usec Faeldon truly respects the president, he must do the right thing. I’m pretty sure everything will work out for him in the end,” saad ni Pacquiao.
Nilinaw naman ng senador na naniniwala pa rin siya sa integridad at katapatan ni Faeldon dahil sa isyu ng muntik na pagpapalaya kay dating Calauan Mayor Antonio Sanchez, dapat anyang ibigay ng opisyal ang kanyang atensyon sa mga imbestigasyon ng Senado at Kamara.
Dapat umanong ipakita ni Faeldon na handa siyang makipagtulungan upang matukoy ang katotohanan sa isyu.
“He can spare the President and this administration from embarrassment by taking a leave of absence. It is temporary anyway and he can easily go back to the BuCor or in any other government position once this issue has been fully clarified,” diin ni Pacman.
Kasabay nito, tinawag ni Pacquiao na kwentong barbero pa lamang ang sinasabing GCTA for sale dahil wala pang malinaw na ebidensya hinggil dito.
“Sa ngayon, kwentong barbero lang yang GCTA-for-sale na sinasabi nila dahil wala pa naman silang maipakitang ebidensya,” diin ni Pacquiao.
“This GCTA Law should be reviewed and should only cover petty crimes. On the other hand, this controversy should already serve as a wake-up call for Congress to finally approved the re-imposition of death penalty on certain heinous crimes,” dagdag ng senador.
